SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sawmilling equipment, in particular to circular sawing machines. The cutting unit of a circular saw machine contains a saw shaft with bearings, a circular saw, support and clamping flanges, a saw drive from a linear electric motor. The circular saw is equipped with annular non-ferromagnetic elements with high electrical conductivity located on the sides of the saw blade in the peripheral zone. The ring elements are the rotor windings of a linear motor and are made of copper or aluminum. The circular saw is mounted on a saw shaft with bearings in the stator housing, made in the form of side supports covering the non-working area of the saw. The saw is clamped between the support and clamping flanges until it stops in the collar with a nut.

EFFECT: efficiency and reliability of the cutting unit of the circular saw increases, the torque and stability of circular saws increases.
