FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite materials and relates to a method of producing a composite fiberglass sheet with antistatic properties and an article made therefrom. Method for production of composite fiberglass antistatic sheet with thickness of 0.5 to 10.0 mm for production of pressed articles consists in the fact that at the first stage polyester resin and powder additives with nanocomponent, which imparts antistatic properties to the sheet, is mixed in a dissolver to form a paste which is fed into containers, wherefrom it is applied on the films moving under them at the second step, and at that, at the second stage chemical thickening of polyester resin is applied by adding into the paste composition a thickener which increases viscosity for possibility of subsequent pressing in 3–5 days, and simultaneously reinforcing glass fiber is fed into a ruby machine located above the surface of the paste applied on one of the films, is cut into pieces of a given length and randomly supplied to the surface of the paste layer, from the second layer from the film with paste is rolled on and fed into the sealing system of rollers, where glass fiber impregnation and removal of air bubbles occur, resulting in a sheet which is wound on steel rollers arranged on the rack. Obtained sheet is cut on a table, removing edges depleted of glass fiber, at that, the cuttings are placed in the centre of the suspension in a pile which is placed in a mold, and an article is formed.
EFFECT: invention provides antistatic properties throughout the volume of the sheet and the finished product.
