FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to veterinary medicine, particularly to a method of removing foreign bodies from a killer's stomach. Method is characterized by that performing killer whale in a horizontal position on weight using a raft system, performing sedation by intravenous introduction of Relanium, performing X-ray examination, rotor-expander is installed, video endoscope is used with length of not less than 2.5 m and device for extraction of foreign bodies with length of not less than 3 m. Device comprises a flexible tube, inside which there is a metal string diverging at the end emerging from the tube, in the form of four flexible resilient bars with grips in form of flat round discs. Hose with diameter from 4 to 6 mm is attached to the distal end of the video endoscope for insufflation and irrigation. Video endoscope and device are inserted through parallel mouth gag simultaneously into esophagus to advance them into stomach. Foreign body is detected through a video endoscope. Device captures a foreign body by holding the tube of the device, pushing the string, bringing the gripper to the foreign body, pushing the device, pulling the string into the tube. Video endoscope is pulled out. While holding the string, the device with the trapped foreign body is pulled.
EFFECT: using the invention enables minimizing animal injuries when extracting a foreign body from its stomach.
