FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to application of protective coating from polymer material on pipeline and to device for application of protective coating from polymer material to pipeline. Pipeline is located along the longitudinal axis and has a section cleaned from the coating limited on opposite ends in axial direction by two end sections of corresponding protective coatings from polymer material. Method includes direct heating of free surfaces of end sections, extrusion and simultaneous winding around the pipeline of protective coating, the width of which is sufficient for overlapping of the area cleaned from coating and end sections. Then the protective coating is pressed to the pipeline with the end sections included. Device for application of protective coating from polymer material to pipeline includes carriage, which is scrolled around pipeline, extrusion head, facility for heat treatment by heaters of end sections of pipeline and roll for pressing of protective coating.

EFFECT: technical result achieved when using group of inventions is to ensure reduction of heat energy consumption and exclusion of peeling of end sections of applied coating from metal cylinder.
