SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of application of a protective coating of polymer material on a pipeline. Method includes stages of carriage movement along a circular trajectory passing around the longitudinal axis of the pipeline, extrusion of the protective coating on the carriage, winding of the protective coating by measure of its extrusion around the uncoated pipeline ends, plastification of the polymeric material on the carriage.
EFFECT: provision of application of a protective coating at a very high temperature and a capacity, due to a high-plastic state, to adapt to uneven surfaces.
