FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gas chromatographic methods of analyzing water-soluble volatile components and can be used for qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex mixtures of substances of natural and industrial origin in various industries. Method for determining water-soluble volatile components involves extraction of volatile components from the initial solution by an inert gas stream by bubbling contact of the gas stream with a solution of volatile components, and the stream of inert gas saturated with volatile components is bubbled through a small volume of distilled water, which is dosed into a gas chromatograph for analysis, solution of volatile components in distilled water is held at a temperature lower than that of the initial solution, and before analysis a fixed amount of the internal standard is introduced into it. Device for realizing said method comprises in-series connected inert gas preparation unit and two bubblers, wherein first bubbler is filled with sample of initial aqueous solution of volatile components with volume V1, and the second bubbler is filled with distilled water with volume V2=0.1V1, device is additionally equipped with two thermostats, in one of which thermostat the first bubbler at temperature T1 below water boiling point, and in second is maintained second bubbler at temperature T2, considerably less than T1.
EFFECT: high sensitivity of gas chromatographic determination of water-soluble volatile components and reduced random measurement errors.
