FIELD: electrolytic methods.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to carriage for operation of furnace in an anode firing installation for the electrolysis of aluminium, wherein the furnace comprises longitudinal cells arranged next each other in transverse direction (Y) and having constant distance (d) between their axes. Carriage can move transversely over the cells and has central longitudinal plane (P). Carriage comprises at least one first tool and one second tool of the same first type, each configured to be introduced into the cell to perform the same first function and each having a substantially vertical axis, wherein said axes are spaced apart in a transverse direction by distance (B) equal to distance (d) between the axes of the cells. Said axes are arranged substantially symmetrically relative to the central longitudinal plane (P) to form therebetween a substantially central corridor on the carriage. Also disclosed are a machine for operation of a furnace in an anode firing installation for electrolysis of aluminium and an anode firing installation for electrolysis of aluminium.

EFFECT: smaller overall dimensions, easier access to tools on the carriage and ensuring visibility of the furnace.
