FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: this device relates to protection schemes for electric generators, in particular, to devices for reducing sparking at sliding current collection assemblies. Device contains the capacitance, which is connected between parallel electrically connected groups of brushes of one contact ring of a sliding current collection unit, where one group of brushes is connected to the power bus, the second group of brushes is isolated from the power bus. Capacitance consists of two groups of parallel-connected capacitors: polar and non-polar, the first terminals of the group of capacitors are connected directly, and the second ones are connected through inductance, between the terminals of the group of polar capacitors the diode is connected by the anode to the positive terminal of the group of polar capacitors. All brush holders of the group of brushes, which are connected to the power bus, are insulated from the power bus, and electrical capacitances are connected between the housings of the closely located brush holders.

EFFECT: technical result comprises the increased reliability, lower cost and size.
