FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection circuits of electric generators, namely to devices for reduction of sparking in units of sliding current collection. Device contains an electric capacitor connected between the parallel electrically connected groups of brushes placed in the brush holders of one contact ring of the sliding current collection unit; at that, one group of brushes is connected to the power bus, the second group of brushes is isolated from the power bus. Electric capacitance consists of two groups of parallel connected capacitors: polar and non-polar ones, some outputs of the group of capacitors are connected directly, and the second ones are connected through inductance, between the outputs of the group of polar capacitors the diode is connected by an anode to the positive output of the group of polar capacitors. All brush holders of the group of brushes are mechanically connected to the power bus and electrically isolated from the power bus. Between the brush holders housings of the brushes, which are located diametrically opposite to each other, electric tanks are connected.
EFFECT: increased reliability, increased degree of sparking suppression.
