FIELD: electrical engineering, in particular, sliding current collector assembly of multiple-brush synchronous generators and induction motors with a phase-wound rotor. SUBSTANCE: assembly has slip rings, spring-loaded current-conducting and additional brushes installed in brush holder, the built-up additional brushes are made in the form of contact and bearing parts, the contact part is made of molybdenum disulfide with a binder. The length of the contact and bearing parts of the additional brush equals the length of the current-conducting parts, the width of the bearing part of the additional brush equals the width of the current conducting brush, the with of the contact part of the additional brush does not exceed the width of its bearing part; one additional brush is installed per two current-conducting parts. When the sliding current collector assembly is used, the wear of the current-conducting brushes reduces by more than two times, the wear of the additional brushes is reduced by 20%, the lateral wear of the additional brushes is reduced too, saving of lubricant make up 50% as compared with the prototype. EFFECT: reduced wear of current-conducting and additional brushes, reduced lateral wear of additional brushes, reduced consumption of lubricant. 3 dwg, 1 tbl
