SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices and systems for processing eggs. Disclosed is a system for identifying a tray with eggs, comprising a first measuring device for determining a first parameter value of eggs contained in an egg tray in a group of such trays, a processor associated with the first measuring device and configured to receive first parameter values from the first measurement device and creating and storing a first pattern of data samples for egg trays based on said first parameter values and tied to each corresponding tray with eggs in said group of such trays, and a second measuring device for determining a second value of said egg parameter found in egg trays, wherein said device is located behind first measuring device and is connected to processor such that processor can receive second parameter values to obtain a comparative picture of data patterns for egg trays, based on said second parameter values of the corresponding tray with eggs. Processor ensures comparison for each egg tray of said comparative pattern of data samples with said first pattern of data samples to ensure identification of the corresponding egg tray in said group of trays. Also disclosed is a method of identifying a tray with eggs in a group of such trays using said system.

EFFECT: group of inventions makes it possible to identify a tray with eggs from a group of such trays so that information related to eggs could accurately correspond to a tray with eggs during the whole process of processing and sorting of eggs.
