FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering, in particular to off-road vehicles. Screw propulsion unit comprises a hollow cylindrical rotor with a helical ridge, equipped with a rotation mechanism, and a swivel head. Cylindrical rotor with screw crest is made in the form of a shaft, on which a row of pneumatic wheels with thickened protectors is mounted. On each of the treads there is a multi-threaded screw ridge repaired from the wheel to the wheel, which forms a multiturn screw crest of the propeller by the peripheral part of the row.
EFFECT: expanding the functionality of the screw propulsion in wheelchairs for movement on hard surfaces with obstacles.
