SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering, in particular to off-road vehicles. Screw propulsion unit comprises a hollow cylindrical rotor with a helical ridge, equipped with a rotation mechanism, and a swivel head. Screw ridge is multi-start in form of system of taper and / or hemispherical fingers, which are metal rods, filled with elastic material.
EFFECT: it is possible to expand the functionality of the screw propulsion in wheelchairs for movement on hard surfaces with obstacles.
