SUBSTANCE: invention relates to generation of a private cryptographic key in a network. Method for generating a secret cryptographic key in a network comprising first and second subscribers with a shared communication channel between them, wherein each of subscribers is able to output in transmission channel at least one first binary value and second binary value, wherein the first and second subscribers initiate a substantially synchronous transmission of the first and second subscriber sequences of binary values on the transmission channel, respectively, and first subscriber generates common secret cryptographic key based on information on first binary values subscriber sequence, as well as based on the binary values sequence resulting from the application of the first and second subscriber sequences of binary values in the transmission channel, and second user generates common secret cryptographic key based on information on second subscriber sequence of binary values, as well as based on a sequence of binary values originating in the transmission channel owing to overlapping of the first and second subscriber sequences of binary values.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling automatic establishment of secure connections between two nodes.
