SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics, and can be used for assessment of activity of infectious process caused by non-fermentative gram-negative bacteria (NFGNB) in bronchopulmonary system in patients with mucoviscidosis. That is ensured by bringing the sputum collected in a sterile disposable container from the patient suffering cystic fibrosis into a centrifuge tube and centrifugation in 1700 G mode for 5 minutes. Obtained supernatant is transferred into eppendorf and material is re-centrifuged in 4500 G mode for 5 minutes. Supernatant is re-transferred into a test tube, and the content of ferritin in a sputum is determined using an immunoturbidimetric method on an automatic biochemical analyzer. If the amount of ferritin during examination ≤500 mcg/l, infectious process caused by non-fermentative gram-negative bacteria is considered inactive. If the ferritin level is from 500 to 1000 mcg/l, the infectious process is moderately active, if the ferritin level is >1000 mcg/l, the activity of the infectious process is evaluated as pronounced.

EFFECT: invention enables to obtain data on the course of the infectious process caused by NFGNB in the bronchopulmonary system in the patients with cystic fibrosis by the level of ferritin in sputum.
