FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely, to microbiology, and can be used for primary seeding of clinical material and cultivation of microorganisms from Burkholderia cepacia complex. The nutrient medium for cultivating microorganisms from Burkholderia cepacia comprises Mueller-Hinton agar, iron (III) hydroxide polymaltosate and a selective additive in predetermined quantities. The selective additive therein comprises polymyxin B, gentamycin and ticarcillin in predetermined quantities.
EFFECT: invention provides a possibility of improving the microbiological diagnostics of infectious complications caused by microorganisms from Burkholderia cepacia complex during primary seeding from the clinical material of patients with cystic fibrosis.
