SUBSTANCE: present invention refers to medicine and can be used in neurology, psychiatry, neurophysiology, neuropsychology and a number of other modern neurosciences. Area of free surface of hemispheres of cerebellum (C) and its vermis (V) is measured with allowance for their gyri and furrows using computer-diagnostic hardware complex, wherein further determining the surface area of the minimum imaginary sphere described around the hemispheres C and its V, and the ratio of the free surface area of the hemispheres C and its V taking into account their convolutions and furrows to the surface area of said sphere.

EFFECT: method provides wider technical and diagnostic capabilities of macroencephalometry by using a single measuring base.
