FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to radiation diagnostics, and can be used for assessing the effectiveness of the effect related to complementary medicine, by functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in treating the patients with atherosclerotic stenoses of internal carotid arteries, panic disorders. FMRI is performed before and after the exposure. Obtained images are combined with anatomical structures of brain by application of pulse sequence MPRAGE. Functional linkage maps are analysed by comparing cards before and after exposure. If observing the increase of positive functional connections in the area of the medial prefrontal cortex (MPC), the exposure is considered to be effective.
EFFECT: method enables to identify changes in cerebral activity on stimulus exposure related to complementary medicine, by analysing connectivity of the brain in the MPC region.
