FIELD: communication technique.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of providing communication on railway rolling stock, in particular on at least two electric trains combined into one electric train. On the tail car of the first electric train and on the head car of the second electric train coupled with the first one, radio bridges are installed, equipped with radio-frequency modules with narrow-beam antennas, which establish a communication channel between the tail radio bridge and the head radio bridge, transmitting radio signals in the form of radio waves in the millimetre range, which are then processed on switching equipment built in radio bridges and connected to radio frequency modules, thereby providing access of network devices on the combined electric train to the train Ethernet network. Arrangement of the radio bridges provides direct visibility between the antennas of the radio-frequency modules installed inside the cabin or under the mask of the car, provided that it is radio-transparent.

EFFECT: improved quality of communication channel provided by radio relay communication lines of “train-train” class without modernization of coupling devices on combined electric trains.
