SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lead-acid accumulators and, more specifically, to activation of active chemical substances for reduction of water loss in lead-acid accumulators. Fiber bonded board comprises a plurality of fibers coated with a sizing composition and arranged to form a nonwoven board, binder composition impregnating said nonwoven board and one or more additives which are included in at least one of said sizing composition and said binder composition, wherein said additives include one or more additives based on resins, derivatives of resins, aldehyde, aldehyde derivatives, metal salts, fatty alcohol ethoxylates (alkoxylated alcohols with OH group at the end), block copolymers of ethylene-propylene oxide, sulphate esters (alkyl sulphates and alkyl ether sulphates), sulphonate esters (alkyl- and olefin sulphonates), phosphate esters, sulphosuccinates, etc., wherein said additives are suitable for reducing water loss in a lead-acid accumulator.
EFFECT: invention allows to reduce water loss in lead-acid accumulators.
