FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging and radio control and can be used in modernizing existing and developing promising radar systems. Disclosed method for two-stage ranging of air targets by degree of danger in radar information control systems is that based on range measurements Dmi from protected object to target, approach speed Vap.i with it and transversal (portable) speed of target Vpor.i forming a sequence of target-specific hazard-classified numbers. Distinctive feature of the proposed method is formation of the sequence of the selected targets in two stages, the first of which is the formation of ordering by the criterion of the sequence of distances of maximum approach, and the second one is formation of maximum approach sorted by the criterion of the sequence of distances. Proposed method for two-stage ranging of aerial targets by degree of hazard, based on taking into account both spatial and temporal their connections to the protected object, enables to provide significantly higher reliability of making a decision on the hazard of certain targets.

EFFECT: high reliability of ranging air targets when solving tasks of multi-purpose tracking and target distribution.
