FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to devices for generating and controlling display of panoramic images. In order to realize the technical result, the invention envisages conversion of at least one divided area, including the area on which the scene is projected, observed from the observation point, from eight separated zones obtained by separating the surface of the sphere having at least a partial area on which the scene is projected, three planes, which pass through the center of the sphere and are orthogonal to each other, into such a zone, so that the number of pixels corresponding to mutually equal to latitudes gradually decreases in the direction of higher latitudes, placing the converted zone on the plane and outputting the generated panoramic image.
EFFECT: reduced amount of unnecessary information contained in a panoramic image.
