SUBSTANCE: invention relates to autostereoscopic display devices. Autostereoscopic display comprises a pixelated display panel having a matrix of monochrome pixels or a matrix of subpixels of different colours, and a view formation assembly comprising a matrix of lens elements. Pixels form a square (or virtually square) grid, and the lenses are also repeated in a square (or virtually square) grid. Specifying vector p, which is associated with conversion between pixel grid and lens grid. In two-dimensional space for this vector p identifying areas that provide good or poor banding performance, and selecting areas with better banding performance.
EFFECT: invention provides improvement in the image quality.
