FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for making articles from composite materials by winding and can be used in making shaping mandrels for winding of power shell of containers operating under pressure, for example, bodies of solid-propellant rocket engines. Proposed mandrel comprises cylindrical and spherical sections made from hardened sand-polymer mixture. Each section includes uniformly distributed in volume of sand-polymer mixture secondary discrete fibrous carbon filler, obtained as a result of release of carbon fibers by solvolysis from volume of spent polymer composite material. Fibrous filler occupies 8–12 % of the volume of the section.

EFFECT: invention allows increasing strength level at compression of the mandrel, which is determined by advanced samples-demonstrators of the technology, as well as accelerating time of evaporation of the mandrel and improving quality of manufacturing of cases from polymer composite materials.
