FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and apparatus for producing reinforced composite articles by pressure impregnation. Method allows making articles from composite materials based on thermoplastic binders. This technology can be used in production of aircraft, ship, automotive and construction products, as well as sports equipment. According to method components of thermoplastic polymer and equipment are heated to temperature of 100–170 °C in inert medium of nitrogen gas, polymer material is supplied to connecting head connected to shaping equipment. Shaping tooling is connected to vacuum line of vacuum pump. Polymer material is impregnated under action of vacuum pump. Then thermoplastic binding material is supplied under pressure of 10–20 MPa for impregnation of reinforcing material. At the same time surpluses of thermoplastic polymer binder from equipment are supplied to trap for polymer. Binder of the thermoplastic material is polymerised. After impregnation the tool is cooled and the part is withdrawn from the rigging. Proposed plant comprises two containers with thermoplastic polymer components: capacitor for liquid caprolactam with activator and capacity for liquid caprolactam with catalyst equipped with temperature transducers and agitators with drive. Containers are connected to supply line of compressed nitrogen and supply lines of components. Connecting head is connected to the shaping equipment by the polymer feeding line. Plant is equipped with a vacuum main line connected to a vacuum pump with a drive motor and to a shaping tooling. Components feeding lines are provided with dosing pumps with drive motors connected with containers with thermoplastic polymer components.

EFFECT: technical result of group of inventions is obtaining articles from composite materials with thermoplastic binder with given properties.
