FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to infectious diseases of children and adults. Body temperature, presence of a rash are determined, additionally the absence of measles vaccination is stated, and/or the absence of the diagnosed measles in the past medical history and/or the vaccination limitation period is more than 10 years, presence of contact with sick measles 7–21 days before the onset of symptoms, age in range of 2 to 5 years or from 20 to 35 years, presence of maculopapular rash on 3–4 day from the beginning of the disease, staginess in the appearance of elements of the rash, body temperature more than 37 °C, enlarging cervical lymph nodes, presence of enanthema, conjunctivitis, coughing with inflammatory changes of respiratory tract, each positive answer is assigned with 1 point, points are summed up and at 8–10 points high probability of measles is determined, at 5–7 points – average, at 1–4 points – small.

EFFECT: method provides determining the degree of probability of the measles diagnosis in patients of any age by available methods in the daily clinical practice of the primary care.
