METHOD FOR ASSESSING DEGREE OF INFECTIOUS MONONUCLEOSIS IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N33/48

Abstract RU 2673073 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to children's infectious diseases, and can be used in clinical and laboratory diagnostics to determine the severity of infectious mononucleosis in children. Method includes collecting anamnesis, evaluation of clinical signs. Blood, urine, and ECG samples are taken, a patient is examined with a state assessment according to the criteria presented in Table 2, with a score assigned to each clinical sign. With a mild degree, a sign is estimated at 0.5 points, with a moderate degree of severity – 1.0 points, with a severe degree – 2.0 points. After evaluating each attribute, the obtained points are summed up and with a sum of up to 14 points a mild degree of severity is determined, with a sum of 15 to 28 points a moderate severity is determined, with a sum of 29 or more, the severity of infectious mononucleosis is determined.

EFFECT: method allows to accurately determine the severity at the pre-immunological stage, provides a differential diagnosis of myocardial infarction with manifestations of other acute respiratory viral infections, allows to choose the patient management tactics in a timely manner and prescribe the necessary pathogenetic therapy.
