FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: compositions contain at least one nutritional composition A, which is administered to an infant from birth to 3–6 months of life of said infant, at least one nutritional composition B, which is administered to infant from 3–6 months to 1 year of age of said infant, at least one nutrient composition C, which is administered after the first year of a young child's life. Said nutrient compositions A and B contain protein in amount of 1.5 to 3.0 g/100 kcal, wherein the amount of protein in the nutrient composition(s) B is lower than the amount of protein in the nutrient composition(s) A. Amount of protein in the nutrient composition C is at least 1.3 g/100 kcal, but is less than the amount protein in nutrient compositions A and B. Invention relates to use of a system of nutritional compositions for reducing the risk of metabolic syndrome, obesity, insulin resistance, impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes in the further life of the above infant or young child. Invention relates to the use of a nutritional composition containing a protein in amount of 1.3 to 1.5 g/100 kcal, in a young child after the first year of life to reduce the risk of metabolic syndrome, obesity, insulin resistance, impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes in the further life of the above young child. Invention relates to a method for infant feeding involving infant feeding from birth to 3–6 months of life with at least one nutrient composition A, feeding said infant from 3–6 months to 1 year of age with at least one nutritional composition B, feeding said infant, now a young child, with one nutrient composition C after the first year of life. Said nutrient compositions A and B contain protein in amount of 1.5 to 3.0 g/100 kcal. Amount of protein in the nutrient composition(s) B is lower than the amount of protein in the nutrient composition(s) A. Amount of protein in the nutrient composition C is at least 1.3 g/100 kcal, but is lower than the amount of protein in nutrient compositions A and B.
EFFECT: invention relates to food industry, in particular, to age requirements of nutrient compositions systems.
