SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to compositions for oral care and application thereof. Disclosed is an oral care composition with a whitening effect, comprising: (i) a coloring agent having a color from blue to blue-violet with a color tone angle in the CIELAB system in range of 200 to 320 degrees; (ii) particles of silicon dioxide with core/shell structure, wherein each particle of silicon dioxide with core/shell structure includes a core of silicon dioxide and a surface of a core of silicon dioxide etched by metal silicate; (iii) an orally acceptable carrier medium comprising a non-aqueous solvent; wherein composition includes water in amount of 3 wt. % up to 30 wt. %. Metal silicate for each particle of silicon dioxide with core/shell structure is: i) metal monovalent metal ion silicate; or ii) a monovalent metal ion metal silicate and one or more divalent metal ions, a trivalent metal ion and a tetravalent metal ion. Disclosed also is use of said composition for making a dental bleaching agent.

EFFECT: use of composition of silicon dioxide in composition of particles with core/shell structure, surface of core of which is etched with metal silicate, provides higher retention of blue dye on dental surface and, accordingly, intensification of whitening effect as compared to composition containing blue dye in combination with Gantrez.
