SUBSTANCE: invention relates to core-shell type silicon dioxide particles contained in an oral care composition which is used in the manufacture of a medicinal agent to reduce the amount or elimination of bacteria in the oral cavity of the patient in need thereof. Said composition contains core-shell silicon dioxide particles, in which each particle of core-shell silicon dioxide contains a core of silicon dioxide and a group I metal silicate, formed on the surface of a silicon dioxide core. Method for oral care of a patient in order to reduce the amount or eliminate bacteria on a removable device for the oral cavity of a patient involves applying said composition to the surface of a removable oral cavity.
EFFECT: provided is a composition for oral care of multifunctional action.
