FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to processing for improving properties of aluminum nanopowders. It can be used in preparation of solid rocket fuels and pyrotechnical compounds. Nanopowder of aluminum produced by electric explosion of aluminum wire is poured into container from non-magnetic material to height of not more than 15 mm. Container is placed on copper conductor so that vessel bottom is in contact with conductor surface and exposed in air atmosphere by alternating magnetic field with frequency of 50 Hz, created when passing through current conductor with force of 100–600 A for at least 20 minutes.
EFFECT: higher specific heat effect of oxidation of powder, as well as wider range of means of activation.
