SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of powder metallurgy, in particular to the purification of tungsten nanopowder. It can be used to remove sorbed gases and water from the surface and from the volume of the powder during its preparation for further use in the process. Degassing is carried out by irradiating the sample with microwave radiation in an atmosphere of air with pulses of duration from 5 to 3,000 ns, a wavelength of 10 cm, a pulse repetition rate of not more than 50 Hz for at least 1 minute.

EFFECT: degassing of chemical compounds absorbed by the powder is provided.
