METHOD OF MATCHING SPEEDS OF VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ROLLS OF UNIVERSAL CAGE OF ROLLING MILL Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B21B37/52

Abstract RU 2687354 C1

FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation of rolling production. Increase in rolling reliability by excluding power interconnection in inter-carded gap and minimizing tension or back-up in rolling process with varying gap of horizontal rolls is ensured by that when changing the roll gap caused by movement of hydraulic pressing devices, adjusting the speed of the vertical stand roll drive in proportion to the metal linear velocity increment at the horizontal cage inlet. At that, increment of linear metal speed is calculated proportionally to specified linear metal speed at output of horizontal cage, stiffness module, inversely proportional to thickness of metal at cage inlet and total rigidity of metal and cage.

EFFECT: disclosed is method of matching speeds of vertical and horizontal rolls of universal cage of rolling mill.
