FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to ensure rolling with minimum tension or overpressure in the universal stands broadband and plate mills. The problem to be solved by the invention consists in stabilizing the rolling process, ensures a high accuracy of the geometrical dimensions of the manufactured strip while increasing reliability of the rolling equipment by reducing the dynamic loads on the horizontal engines and vertical roll stand. The problem is solved in that after gripping the metal horizontal rolls measured steady angular velocity of the drive rolls of the horizontal joint under load rolling metal in horizontal and vertical rolls. Then the calculated correction signal for the angular speed of the drive of the vertical rolls, and then carry out regulation angular speed vertical drive roll stand in the direction of its decrease the magnitude of the correction signal is obtained. Adjustment of the angular velocity of the vertical roll stand increases the rolling stability of the joint process, reduces dynamic shocks and repeated oscillation process in vertical rolls of the universal stand after capturing metal horizontal rolls.
EFFECT: higher reliability and durability of the equipment and the vertical stand of the unit as a whole, reducing its downtime due to equipment failure.
