FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to adjustment of continuous bar rolling. To ensure precise rolled bars, continuous rolling is performed with minimum tension or support of metal in interstand intervals. Note here that tension adjustment if performed by affecting stand speed. To minimise dynamic variation of stand speed in clamping and releasing metal, torque of every stand drive motor is increased by value of memorised torque in previous rolling and that before releasing bar rear end.
EFFECT: minimised distortion of sizes and shape, increased yield of effective products.
