FIELD: municipal services.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of processing snow mass removed from urban territories by forced melting. Installation for snow thawing includes receiving, melting and vortex chambers. Receiving chamber is equipped with screw. Perforated screw shaft is made in the form of a flame tube. Perforated fire tube with grate with holes is rigidly fixed in melting chamber. On the outer side of the front wall of the receiving chamber there is a rotating screw. In the lower part of the front wall there is a gate. Shutter closes neck for removal of dirt and solid wastes. Rear part of the screw has a knife. Knife adjoins the grate with holes. Behind rear wall of melting chamber there is vortex chamber. Vortex chamber is equipped with an air blower, a tangential fuel feed branch pipe and an electric bladder. Under the receiving and melting chambers there is a pan for collecting melt water.

EFFECT: higher efficiency coefficient of installation with simultaneous increase of its reliability.
