FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and specifically to plasma-chemical conversion of gas or gas mixture using pulsed electric discharge and device for its implementation. Method involves conversion of gas/gas mixture, which is carried out by means of a pulsed electric discharge, which is a hot plasma channels appearing between electrodes, in a moving gas/gas flow, wherein the ratio of the flow rate to the average discharge current is in the following range: 250 J/(m3*A2) < ρ*V2/I2 < 4,000 J/(m3*A2), where ρ is density of gas/gas mixture in reaction chamber (kg/m)3, V is gas/gas flow rate in reaction chamber (m/s), I is average current of pulsed electric discharge (A).
EFFECT: high efficiency of the process of converting gas/gas mixture into desired products by stimulating direct reactions and minimizing the flow of back reactions.
