FIELD: electric power industry and hydrogen energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the electric power industry and hydrogen energy and can be used in sources of thermal energy and incidentally to produce hydrogen. A method and device for generating thermal energy and producing hydrogen are proposed. The device for implementing the method contains a heat exchanger 8, an electrical energy generator 4, 5a and 5b, an axisymmetric plasma reactor, including a dielectric tube 1 made of a heat-resistant material with an electrode anode 3 installed in series on one axis, sharpening electrodes 6 and an electrode cathode 7. At the input end on the anode side of the pipe, an inert gas supply unit 15 and a shaper of its vortex flow in the direction to the cathode, as well as a reagent supply unit 9 in the form of a paraxial jet into the pipe volume in the associated direction, are installed. An x-ray detector 12 is installed on the outer shell of the tube closer to the cathode. 15 to ensure the filling of the hydrogen accumulator and the replacement of the inert gas with the gas fraction of the products of plasma-chemical reactions.
