FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of expanding a hole made by stamping, in particular with respect to elements, etc. for vehicles, molding tool and molded article. Proposed method comprises preparation step whereat molding tool is machined and section of increasing diameter is provided. Diameter increases from the side of the front end to the side of the rear end. Linear protrusion protrudes from surface of section of increasing diameter. Method also includes a step of expanding the hole on which the pilot hole is successively extended by pressing the molding tool into the pilot hole. Linear protrusion of molding tool comes in spot contact with part of circumferential edge section of pilot hole in billet two times or more.
EFFECT: invention provides balanced characteristics of elongation and ability to distribute holes by controlling composition or structure of steel, avoiding cracking of stretched flange.
