FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely endocrinology and therapy. Diabetes control system is used to control diabetes, which includes glucometers, an insulin pump and a microcontroller. Using the meter for incidental measurement of glucose in a patient's liquid sample, a glucose concentration level is obtained in the form of input data for bolus calculation. Using glucometer for continuous measurement of glucose level in patient through uniform time intervals glucose concentration is determined for each interval in the form of glucose measurement data, which can be used for bolus calculation. Infusion insulin pump is used to deliver insulin into the patient's body. Microcontroller is configured to provide a bolus recommendation for the patient, to assess whether the actual bolus delivered by the pump is different from the bolus recommendation. If the delivered actual bolus is different from the bolus indicating the downward trend or to increase the rate of glucose change for a certain period of time after the bolus delivery relative to a predetermined downward trend threshold or a predetermined upward trend threshold, and informing the user on a downward trend or increasing the values along with the actual bolus delivered into the body, and the bolus recommendation.
EFFECT: disclosed is post-bolus administration for treating diabetes.
