DIAGNOSTIC METHOD FOR AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC A61B5/16 A61B5/04

Abstract RU 2687580 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurophysiological studies, and can be used in diagnosing autism spectrum disorders (ASD) in children. That is ensured by recording the level of constant potentials (LCP) in unipolar lead from five regions – frontal (Fz), central (Cz), occipital (Oz), right (Td) and left (Ts) temporal. Average LCP of the brain is determined by dividing the sum of the LCP from the five leads by their number. Normative index of the averaged LCP of the brain is taken as 10.68÷11.5 mV. Presence of ASD in a child is determined if two or more of the following indicators of changes are present. Such parameters include: increased intensity of energy exchange in the frontal region, determined by the deviation of the LCP value by one or more standard deviations. Standard deviation is equal to the square root of the arithmetic mean of all squared differences between the given values and their arithmetic mean; LCP deviation in right temporal lead by one or more standard deviations; deviation of energy intensity of energy exchange in the central part, determined by deviation of the LCP value by one or more standard deviations; deviation of averaged LCP value by one or more standard deviations; disturbed interhemispheric relations with predominance of the left hemisphere, determined by the deviation of the LCP by one or more standard deviations.

EFFECT: method provides accurate diagnosis of ASD by obtaining a complex of objective data on psychoneurophysiological characteristics of the child, which causes the diagnosis of early stages of the disease with a timely beginning of therapy.
