DEVICE FOR ABSORPTION OF SECONDARY RADIATION IN TEST BENCH OF LEVEL GAUGES CALIBRATION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC G01S13/08 G01F25/00 G01F23/284

Abstract RU 2687896 C1

FIELD: test.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for testing or calibrating equipment for level measurement and can be used in measurement equipment for calibration, in particular, radar level gauges. Device for absorption of stray radiation is located in test bench of radar level gauge. Bench includes longitudinal platform 1, to which level gauge 3 with a radiator and a radio wave detector receiver (not shown) is rigidly fixed on fixed base 2. Opposite to level gage 3 flat reflecting screen 4 imitating reflecting surface of measured medium is installed at some distance on same platform 1. Element 5 of radar absorbent material is installed directly in front of radiator of level gage 3 level with it coaxially. It is tube 5 with a cylindrical / conical opening fixed on frame base 6 opposite to fixed base 2 and directly nearby it. Execution of the absorbing element in the form of a cylinder or a cone together with its installation in the immediate vicinity of the radiator of the level gauge and level with it ensures non-propagation of excess emitted signal and simultaneous absorption of the harmful reflected signal from foreign objects and elements of the stand or installation structure, which increases efficiency of the device. Test bench has a simpler design and smaller overall dimensions.

EFFECT: technical result is increase in the secondary radio waves absorption efficiency in the test bench of the radar level gauge.
