SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a unit for processing, in particular to treatment of slag for extraction of one or more useful components from it. Method of material processing, which is an upper layer from metal melting process, wherein said upper layer is slag and contains one or more salts and one or more metals, including: a) feeding slag into slag press and slag pressing; b) feeding pressed slag to grinding stage, including crushing stage; where steps (a) and (b) are carried out before temperature of slag extracted from furnace falls below 350 °C; said method also includes: c) feeding slag to leaching stage; d) obtaining a leaching product from the leaching stage; e) supplying the leaching product to the spray drying stage; f) obtaining a solid substance from the spray drying stage. Also disclosed is a material processing plant.
EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of slag treatment.
