FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for separation of sawn timber rows in drying stack forming air channels in pile. Device is arranged in the form of spiral laid between rows of lumber. Spiral is made in the form of a cylindrical compression spring. Air channels are formed by inner cavity of each spring, wherein pitch t between adjacent springs corresponds to spiral diameter d as t > 1.02⋅d. Turns of spirals are located with pitch l, which forms inter-turn clearance, providing air exchange of adjacent air cavities in channel in all directions.
EFFECT: technical result is uniform distribution of circulating air in drying pile, higher reliability and efficiency when drying timber in pile.
