FIELD: wood drying technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wood drying technology, in particular to a lumber drying method. A method, which provides for forming a lumber layers stack and at least one layer in the form of a flat infrared emitter, where the width and length of the layer not less than the width and length of the formed stack, implies placing separating elements layers between the layers, then a thermal insulating material is placed over the surface of the upper layer of the stack with a gap, then the stack is wrapped on all sides at a distance preventing the stack from touching a membrane permeable in one direction (away from the stack) is connected to at least one layer as a flat infra-red radiator and starts drying the lumber with temperature and humidity monitoring, the water vapour evaporating from the lumber is removed via the membrane into the surrounding space.
EFFECT: invention increases the lumber drying uniformity and reduce the condensed water re-evaporation occurrence possibility.
