ARCTIC WIND-DRIVEN POWER PLANT Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC F03D9/00 E02D27/35

Abstract RU 2688061 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of renewable energy sources and can be used for power supply of various facilities mainly in the Arctic and other regions differing by strong winds. Arctic wind-driven power plant includes foundation, mast, wind motor, converters and energy accumulators. Its foundation is made in the form of a tubular structure containing thermosyphon evaporator in the form of sealed vertical wells located in permafrost partially filled with low-boiling liquid, for example ammonia. Tubular base of mast is located at wells and provided with provision of condenser of thermosiphon.

EFFECT: invention will make it possible to considerably increase survivability of arctic wind-driven power plants under conditions of strong gusts of wind (up to 75 m/s) and to reduce capital costs for their construction.
