FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for fixation of soft biological tissue. Device for fixing soft biological tissue is made of ternary magnesium alloy Mg-Ca-Zn, wherein Ca and Zn are contained within concentration of solid solution based on magnesium, the rest is Mg and unavoidable impurities, wherein content of Zn is 0.5 at% or less, and atomic ratio of Ca:Zn = 1:x, where x is 1–3, and crystal grain structure is equiaxed and has average crystal grain size of 20–250 mcm. Method of producing device includes preparation of magnesium alloy, production of ingot, homogenizing heat treatment, hot pressing, at which at least one hot pressing is carried out in the temperature range from 250 to 450 °C, annealing in the temperature range of 350–450 °C, molding to impart the desired shape to the device and cleaning the surface for removal of impurities.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at obtaining a biocompatible device, the material of which has good ductility, low weight and is non-toxic.
