FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to magnesium-based alloys, as well as to obtaining deformable blanks from them, and can be used to manufacture bioresorbable systems for fixation and osteosynthesis of hard tissues in medicine. The magnesium alloy contains, in % by weight: gallium 2-4, zinc 2-4, the rest is magnesium, and after deformation, the alloy has a fine-grained single-phase solid solution structure based on magnesium with inclusions of fragmented particles of the second phases and strengthening microparticles evenly distributed in the structure. Method for producing blanks from magnesium alloy includes smelting the alloy using the method of flux-free melting under protection of a gas medium, pouring the alloy into a metal mould, heat treatment of the alloy and deformation processing by hot extrusion, wherein the pouring of the alloy into a metal mould is carried out at a temperature of at least 700°C and not more than 800°C, after which the resulting ingot is subjected to heat treatment for a solid solution at a temperature of 300±10°C for 10-20 hours and 400±10°C for 20-40 hours, then hot extrusion at a speed of 1-2 mm and a reduction ratio of 5 to 100 at an alloy and die temperature of 150-300°C, so the deformed blank is obtained.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improving the corrosion resistance of a magnesium alloy.
