FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to zinc alloys, and can be used for making vascular stents and other biodegradable implants, namely: bone plates, surgical staples, intraosseous rods or pins. Method of producing a workpiece from a bioresorbable zinc alloy involves melting a zinc alloy from pure zinc, copper and silver to obtain an ingot, homogenizing annealing of the obtained ingot and deformation treatment to produce a workpiece. Zinc alloy is melted containing, wt.%: silver 1–5, copper 0.2–1.5, zinc—the rest, homogenizing annealing of the obtained ingot is carried out at temperature of 300–400 °C, deformation processing is carried out by isothermal rolling of the ingot and subsequent equal-channel angular pressing at temperature of 150–200 °C or equal-channel angular pressing in steps in the temperature range of 350–150 °C with a pitch of up to 50 °C at rate of 0.4 mm/min with a total degree of deformation in the range of more than 2 to 11.
