FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiac surgery, and can be used for the prevention of air embolism during heart operations in cardiopulmonary bypass. Carbon dioxide is used to displace air from the heart chambers. During the intracardiac surgery, after flashing the fibrous ring of the heart valve, carbon dioxide is supplied at a rate of 3000 ml/min into the wound cavity. For this purpose place the tube for insufflation on the surface of the wound to fill the left heart with blood.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the effectiveness of prevention of air embolism and reduce the risk of hypercapnia.
